Close Counters have spent the last few years on a serious upward run.
Bringing their full eight-piece band, Close Counters arrive with a reputation for high-energy live shows and dancefloor-driven jazz. Their debut album LOVERSDANCE ACADEMY hit #3 on the ARIA Jazz & Blues Chart and drew praise from Jazz FM, BBC Radio 1Xtra, 6 Music, KEXP Seattle, Double J, RRR and more – with UK tastemaker Tina Edwards calling it “the best dance album of the year.”
Splitting time between London and Narrm/Melbourne, they’ve taken this eight-piece live show to Glastonbury, Love Supreme and Brick Lane Jazz Festival, sold out two nights at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, and back home packed 1000 people into The Croxton. With new music already in motion and another major international run ahead, 2026 is shaping up as another breakout year.
