BCAC 50th Anniversary and Exhibition

The Bellerive Community Arts Centre (BCAC) is celebrating 50 years of creative community on the Eastern Shore.

Born from the spirit of connection that followed the Tasman Bridge disaster in 1975, BCAC has been a hub for making, learning, and friendship ever since – with daily and monthly sessions in painting, drawing, textiles, crafts, basketry, and more.

To mark this milestone, BCAC and Rosny Farm present a special exhibition in the mobile container gallery at Bellerive Boardwalk, showcasing work by BCAC members past and present.

The exhibition is viewable day and night from 8–16 November, with additional events at the BCAC studios at 17 Cambridge Road, Bellerive, including:

• Open House Weekend (8–9 Nov): visitors can see basket makers at work.
• Open Studio Week (10–14 Nov): drop in between 11am–2pm to meet members and explore ongoing classes.
• Annual Exhibition & Sale (15–16 Nov): featuring new works and creative wares from the BCAC community.

Visitors are also invited to share their memories of BCAC, which will be collected in a handmade book celebrating 50 years of community art.
