10th April – 3rd May
Dedication to our mother, sista, auntie, grandmother and nana. A valuable matriarch in our family, who returned home to the dreaming in 2025. Kin & Family (nganji) Kin/Kinship is at the heart of First Nations culture. Our pieces relay stories of family, kin, belonging, identity, spirituality and our connections to each other and to country. Our pieces act as a visual language to communicate culture, stories (yijan), kin, family, identity, connection and belonging, employing recycled textile and fibre arts and digital and mixed media formats.
This body of work is a collaboration between us as yanyuwa family and kin.
