Our annual program of exhibitions sits at the intersection of artist development, contemporary practice and community connection.
Each year, we present a diverse program of exhibitions featuring emerging, mid-career and established artists from across Tasmania and beyond. We are particularly interested in projects that create meaningful connections between artists, audiences and place, while contributing to a vibrant and accessible contemporary arts culture.
Through our annual Expressions of Interest process, artists, curators and collectives are invited to propose exhibitions and projects across The Schoolhouse, The Barn and Rosny Farm’s grounds.
Whether you’re developing new work, expanding your practice into larger-scale presentation, or presenting a highly resolved exhibition outcome, Rosny Farm offers professionally supported opportunities to share your work with audiences.
Applications for 2027 are currently open. You can learn more about our spaces below and download the Exhibition Program Guide below.

Exhibition Spaces
The Schoolhouse
The Schoolhouse is Rosny Farm’s primary exhibition space and the heart of our year-round visual arts program.
Comprising three connected gallery spaces, it provides flexibility for solo exhibitions, curated group exhibitions, research-led projects, community-connected work and contemporary practice across a wide range of mediums.
Importantly, the Schoolhouse is not simply a space for emerging artists. Its intimate scale and character are equally suited to highly resolved exhibitions by established practitioners where close engagement between audience and artwork is central to the exhibition experience
The Schoolhouse supports artists at all career stages and is equally suited to emerging practitioners presenting work publicly for the first time and established artists developing highly resolved exhibition outcomes.
The space can be programmed as three individual galleries or as a single exhibition experience.
The Barn
A large-scale heritage exhibition space with exceptional flexibility and character.
The Barn supports ambitious contemporary projects that require scale, technical capability or site specificity in exhibition design. It is particularly suited to installation, sculpture, interdisciplinary practice, sound, digital works and performance-integrated exhibitions.
The space has hosted major commissions, touring exhibitions, festival partnerships and immersive contemporary artworks, providing opportunities for artists to expand their practice beyond traditional gallery formats.
The Barn is programmed selectively through the annual EOI process and by invitation. Artists considering proposals for The Barn are encouraged to contact the team prior to applying.
The Grounds
The grounds provide opportunities for outdoor sculpture, temporary installations, site-responsive works and public art projects.
Spanning expansive lawns and open spaces across the precinct, the site offers artists opportunities to engage directly with landscape, architecture and audience movement.
Artists considering proposals for the grounds are encouraged to contact the team prior to applying.
