Henna for Beginners

  • 9 Oct 2026
    11am - 1pm

Get creative with henna in this fun, hands-on workshop for young people aged 10–14.

Perfect for beginners, the session introduces the cultural background, history and traditional uses of henna body art before giving participants the chance to create designs of their own.

Learn about different henna patterns and techniques, practise your designs on paper, get comfortable using a henna applicator, then have a go at creating simple designs on your own skin.

No experience is needed – the workshop is designed to be relaxed, creative and accessible for first-time henna artists.

Each participant will also take home some henna and an applicator so they can keep practising their new skills.

Kinal Gajera is an artist and the creator of Awesome Art by Kinal, specialising in handmade artwork, henna art and face painting.

What to bring: A water bottle and snack.

Refunds: Refunds are available up to seven days before the workshop date.
